The Ohio State University of The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) is proud and honored to be hosting Region VI's annual Regional Leadership Development Conference (RLDC). RLDC aims to provide attendees with the necessary leadership, organizational and management skills needed to succeed in today’s technical and business environment. The theme of this year’s RLDC is “Team Work”. The conference will bring together students, professionals, advisors and corporate representatives from all over the Midwest United States.
Students
Participants will benefit from workshops that will focus not only on promoting individual leadership but also the leadership of SHPE chapters as a whole and how to work together as a team. In addition, the team competition will help members devise creative solutions to solve current SHPE chapter issues. Students will complete a team project that will allow them to develop the skills necessary to effectively run and lead a fruitful SHPE chapter. All of these activities will be carried out with the special focus in creating a website, full year agenda, ace proposal, team transition, and a video commercial where they will present to a group of judges. These tools will help SHPE leaders develop skills to strengthen the future of their chapters. Lastly, RLDC will also provide attendees with the opportunity to network with fellow leaders from Region VI.
